I figured I missed out on a bruising....    Let me explain a little,   We get two lines, so this was my number 2....  I have a smaller pole that I use primarly for freshwater a light action 5' 7" ugly stick.  Upon checking my gear the night before I noticed that my normal number 2 pole a 6' 5" med action eagle claw guides were all out of alignment, so I grabbed my next available rod to use as a bobber pole on a six foot cast.   I don't even use the pole to hook em,  I tug on the line with my hand and lift the pole to pull them in......

Now....    We have a long summer and I plan on fishing with most of you guys at some point, and I got a new camera.... so take your shots now....

Heres a little tip for ya Lefty . If you had a smaller rod that fish would look way bigger ! 

 Oh ya I was wondering is that 45 or 60# test on that thing ?

it's a 7 foot med action, with a reel with 6 pound test,  it's kinda along the line of holding your fish out so it looks bigger (a trick a charter boat captain taught me... ) on the camera.... that's what happenend here it's really a pretty sweet pole for either or.....

Hard to find a stick that could hold that thing up.  It looks like you need a sand spike or something.   I guess you wouldn't need that pvc pipe under the ice trick with that rod .
