i was wondering if bartlett pond in livermore is any good this time of year for brookies? and whats the best bet for baits, place to fish. are they down deep or on top of the water. i know they stock it with a pile of brookies and willing to give it a try if its worth it... any info would be great.... thanks

My buddy fishes it all the time.  He did great 2 years ago on brooikies, but only so-so last year.  He got his first trout of the year there yesterday.  He uses worms until it warms up.
