I agree! I'm on vacation starting Friday. I hope to get out at least a couple of times. (real busy at the store) You and Rob get out this week? I haven't been on the NH board.

He was out today (still right now) at X Spot (You know where) and limited on Cod, largest 15lbs but a good pick all morning. Reports are showing they are in shore now but females are not yet, good size up to mid 20's right now. Enough to make for a fun day.

Good to hear you are busy at the store........

12ft might be pushing your luck. It goes from glass to 3ft like nothing. 3ft is normally fine but in a 12ft row boat you are F-ed. The wakes from the commercial and charter boats alone can and will swamp you.

I will say there where 14-16ft boats this weekend with tiller style engines out there. Worst case Isle of Shoals is 4-5 miles south of Mud grounds so you can always boogie over there and hang out if it gets to bad.

Hey on a plus side of things, with a 12ft boat someone could just toss that on their deck and let you hop aboard for a ride in..LOL

Be careful, be smart. Not worth it for a fish man, hop aboard someone elses boat if you have to. We don't need to read about a MFF member dying for a cod fish...LOL

lol that is what I was thinking leave the boat and get o one of the bigger ones if it gets to bad. They are changing the seas to 2-3 footers so it isnt looking to promising maybe Ill just hit the bay for stripers.

Even on a nice day, as calm as it looks from the deck of a bigger boat, it's no place for a 12 footer.  :nono:

Hit Eastmans today with RonCarr...another good one....got another 48 lbs of filets...about 12 fish I think.....they actually hit bait today better than jig...8 of mine were on bait...

I did see one dragger early in the am quite a distance away....
