I fished the the North Hoosic in North Adams from 9:45 AM to 12 noon this morning.
I started by the Natural Marble Bridge State Park and fished down to below te Eclipse Mill dam.
It was partly sunny, muggy and about 78 degrees.
The stream level was surprisingly low given all the rain we ad earlier in the week, but the water temps seemed fairly cool.
I had a charitable fundraising soiree to go to in the early afternoon, so I kinda had to hustle to squeeze in my fishing, but it proved to be one of the best outings I've had in quite a while.
(B/T/W - - "Soiree" is a really fun word to say, or write. Soiree, soiree, soiree).
I ended up catching four browns (one 9", two 10" and one 11") and five rainbows (one 12", two 13" and two 15").
Ironically, the first and last fish that I landed ended up being the biggest of the day (i.e. the two 15" rainbows).
I also saw two great blue herons (or possibly the same one on two different occasions).
