Strictly Business Open Water
« on: Nov 21, 2022, 09:37 AM »
It’s been a long decent season ..won a few tourneys and lost a bunch..the last 3 weeks have been killer and it should only get better if we can keep the ice off the ponds ..however I want ice just like everyone else

Great fish man. Thanks for posting the pics. Always great to see quality bass brought to hand.
It is understood that fishing licenses, gas, bait, etc., all cost money, but try not to let a limit of trout be your only gauge for success. – Ben Nugent, (NH F&G) Regional Fisheries Biologist

Great fish - how deep are you fishing and are you using a typical retrieve pattern with the silver buddy?

Mostly rockpiles in 15 to 25 feet and drop offs at roughly the same depth ..it’s been mostly a cast, let it fall to the bottom and short soft lifts back to the boat

Thanks.... had to give up on the boat earlier than I wanted this season, nice to see you taking advantage of the warmer than normal weather... thanks for the insight.

Absolutely - if this weather continues I may try to get out again with the row boat and trolling motor - nothing to winterize other than flipping it over...  Then on to the ice.
