wireless trolling motors

I am looking at a motorguide wireless trolling motor for my boat. Anyone have one of them and have they had any problems with it?
And shaft lenght? everything I see says bow to water line plus 20 inches. IF I wait till the ice thaws out then I will not have it here to use right away, or drive 400 miles round trip to get one if they have it in stock.
is there any other way to tell lenght?

Measuring sounds like your best bet. Do you have a current motor to compare?
I ran a Minnkota Terrova, and LOVE it!

I would highly recommend going with the Minn Kota iPilot. If you can't afford it right now, buy a motor that you can add it on later such as the power drive v2 or the terrova. The ipilot is incredible, you'll want it eventually.
