If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Well we just had some relish on some Hoffmans Snappy links hot off the grill...
The relish has great flavor and tastes great..  I wish it had more of a kick to it considering the amount of hot peppers I put in.

You ever try Mezetta Zesty Deli Relish? I'm hooked on the stuff. Nice kick, great taste. There's a recipe I'd like to perfect.

My garden guardian

This little guy has taken up residence in my backyard planting. He's there every night when I water. He's a good bug ;D

Passion flowers are blooming

The volunteer sunflowers are in bloom as well

The back yard planting is doing well. Tomatoes are  coming on strong.

The big pot in the front is doing well

All the flowers in front are doing well

Everybody's happy ;D

There's a big one close by for the birds. Plus I water every day so there's plenty of runoff from the flower boxes.

He's a cute little bugger.

No Bob never tried pepper relish..   But I just told my bride I will be picking several bags of peppers at work today and toss the plants...   I suggested pepper relish and she said she has a recipe for it... ;D ;D   But you could always send me yours.. ::) ::)

Boon yes we make those and love them...   They might also be om the agenda this weekend....

Same as most relishes Dom.
Chop and mix your peppers for the heat you like.
Add 1/4 the volume of peppers in chopped onions.

Dissolve equal parts of cider vinegar and sugar over heat.

Place the chopped peppers and onions in a large non reactive kettle
Cover with boiling water and let stand 10 minutes
Drain and discard the liquid
Add vinegar/sugar mixture and bring to a boil
Simmer for 15-20 minutes. The longer you simmer, the less chunky it will be.

Can/ process in pint jars.
I don't really have a ratio of vinegar mix to peppers, but, less is a little better for me.

I'd say for 12-14 cups of mixed peppers you'd need 2 1/2 cups of vinegar and 2 1/2 cups of sugar.

Try a small batch and see if you like it.
