so I was given a few day fishing package out of anglers bay for my birthday.  however, I have never fished Oneida as I live in Niagara county and mainly fish erie and Ontario.  my brother and I will be targeting perch and eyes but have no clue how to get it done out there.  hoping not to get skunked after driving half way across the state for this rare opportunity to fish with my bro.  not looking to invade anyones hot spots but would love any tackle tips or method suggestions. any help appreciated, thanks

Do you know when you are coming?

Hit the canal for a few hours this morning and got 2 keeper eyes, very slow day.

Thats not bad considering weather conditions and water being like chocolate milk in many places. I fished midnight to 5am without a bite. I didn't see many people out after 1:00 or so. Rough opening night for sure. Anyone have info on the leaderboard for the tournament?
Nice job findin em

Not great conditions for sure Bobby.

I fished from midnight to 2AM and lost one fish.

I'd be happy with two, what did you use?

Used worm harness with slow drift. largest 18 in

Thx fish4fun, I am going out right after I watch the Kentucky Derby. Probably will jig, but will try stickbaits too.

Buck tails and sonars for jigging , drifting spinner and worm ,And there is always trolling , but at that time I think jigging would be the most productive , keep an eye on the thread as more info should be coming

I snuck out for an hour at sunset and jigged up a keeper and a short. It looked like I had the whole lake to myself.   ;D

I'd start early at the shallowest structure you can find on a map, then work deep, Throw cranks and slash baits early for eyes shallow, then jig as you get deeper. Good luck  8)

Got out tonight with lil Deadeyez. We fished sunset till 11. He caught a nice 18 1/2 keeper and I got a short. Was good to see the student beat the teacher! Not the first time or the last I'm sure. Lol
Nice job findin em
