That would be close to a state record too before it spawned.

that was what we were talking about ... there is a 20 pounder swimming in that big river somewhere ... as much as I hate gobies they are helping the fish get heavier ....

Question for the diehards. Walleye are short striking stick baits. I'm reeling about as slow as possible. What would you do? Switch up

Not a diehard but I would try speeding it up and not give them time to think about it (not that they think all that much)...h2l

I agree with hunts. Try speeding it up or even a quick pause or 2 on retrieval. Never hurts to experiment with few different methods

Thanks for the replies. Twitching periodically on the retrieve is the only way I'm catching any but there's way more bites than hook ups
