 Has anyone been catching crappie yet? I just can't wait for that season to start! 8)

good luck with that. Probably a month or so away with all the flooding and chocolate milk water from runoff

I hate it when ice just melts. the good news is that the lake workers had started dredging the lake. NO MORE SILT! That will make the maximum depth of 11 ft to about 25 ft. THAT is a lot of silt. Great for northern pike.

Took kayak out for a couple hours after work put in by spillway didn't catch any but felt good to paddle around and cast some lines  ;D ;D

checked out my crappie spot last night and the water is chocolate milk and they haven't shut the aerorator off yet and there are a couple dead geese floating

did you really catch one?? I was out at Lake Colchester (Lakewood, Norwalk) and a guy that was fishing next to me was reeling them in! he caught all 3 of his crappie on minnows at the deepest part of the lake! Maybe I should try that.....   :w00t:
