I am by no means a fish biologist but information says they will spawn at water temps around 45 .They will move to shallow water to spawn and then hold in these areas for awhile then move back to prespawn areas which will be deeper.Ive been catching perch shallow,deep and everything in between.If you can find weed edges or 7-8 ft flats with some structure that would be a good place to start  hope this helps

Thanks for the info. Glad you're getting out. Just got my boat out of storage and hope to be on the water soon.

A bit cold this morning including the fishing .All that was caught were 3 large mouth bass .Where did those fat perch go,Water temp was 43 so they still should be pre spawn iunless they spawned during the very brief warm up
