Sebago Turnover?
« on: Sep 22, 2014, 11:22 AM »
Has Sebago actually turned over yet? I was out yesterday and the water on top seemed pretty warm but couldn't find any bait out deep... thinking they've pushed shallower if it's already turned over? Just when I thought I was getting things sorted out here comes another curveball!  :P :P :P

If you subscribe to it, the water on the surface needs to be about 50 to fall down. It's was in the 70s last week and mid 60s now, so there is little change in water structure as to where the fish are. I noticed zero difference from now until mid October except there are less fish in the lake.
At the mouth of the river at Sebago in the Spring, it's East to West unless you want a beating from the rest! ;D ;D

yesterday i was finding lots of bait near shallow structure, 30 feet and deeper all bait was stuck to the bottom.  just now starting to see the occasional diving gull and saw some smelt dimples in 13 foot of water but the water seems to be too warm for the salmon and lakers to move in, atleast thats my theory ;D saterday the fish just dissapeared, fiirst boat skunk for the season
