Ya Know....We Need Another Cooking Topic!

Trying new recipes for the kiddos.... I made Stuffed Italian bread tonight and they LOVED IT!!!!!









Take a loaf of Italian bread.. cut the top off exposing 3/4  of the loaf as the bottom..Hollow out the center of loaf. 
Take a block off mozzarella cheese cut I to slices and lay on the bottom of loaf..
Put in a layer of pizza sauce
Then throw in a layer of pepperoni
Then ground venison
Onions, peppers, mushrooms, pepper rings and then a layer of shredded mozzarella.. then set the top of bread on top of the goodies..
I then took melted butter and spread over the top and sprinkled garlic powder over it
Bake at 350 for 35 min

Our backyard bunny was keeping an eye on me while i cooked.





Those pics are from about 6'feet away. He/she visits us quite often and will just munch some seeds from under the bird feeders while we're sitting and having an afternoon cocktail.

Pretty tame for a wild rabbit.

He'll have to learn to climb a 5' fence to get at my beans. But something did eat all of the tulips under the flagpole. I figured it was the neighborhood deer herd.

Very odd to see a wild bunny out in the daytime. Its pretty big too. One good meal and a pair of glove liners. Nah....i couldn't do that.

 That bread looks delicious! I've  done stuffed breads like that John. I always cooked the veggies and sausage first.

Pulled one of my old favorite recipes out of my pocket for my dinner.

Fillets, Wishbone Italian, Franks Red Hot, lemon juice, a  ouple pats of butter, parsely, pepper and a little salt.
 And grated parm or romano.

 Cover with plastic wrap and nuke for 3-4 minutes

Top rice with fish and liquid


I had a side of steamed garden fresh spinach.   Super smple and ......   Yum!

I managed to refill my perch supplies the lase couple weeks. Time to Pickle a batch.

Just mixed up a batch of Garlic Herb bread to bake later today.

Bread came out great.....chicken and biscuits for dinner.

I took 6 months off of work . Im gonna have to buy a couple "Light Cooking" cook books with all that time on my hands. Or buy a bigger boat.
