Made a shepards pie tonight. It's been a while and it was delicious.

The Wife talked me into the Master Touch.  A 50 dollar upgrade with a few more neat features still under 300 bucks. Cant wait to put her to the test!

Cool! Another addict in the making. My two best tips are ...get a chimney and cook indirect unless it's a steak!

Well....three tips.....the only thing you cook in tinfoil is ribs ( to start)  Do your veggies and even things like ham or meat loaf indirect and in parchment paper.  Way better flavor.

Oh yeah....Lowes has 40 lb packs of kingsford  on sale for $16.98. I picked up 2 this morning. It's 2 -20 lb  bags each.
You'll have fun!

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

This is usually a big crowd weekend at our camp. Not so much this year with all the Covid crap. But we are going to eat pretty well!!
Doing some turkey hunting, staining the deck and planting the garden boxes....
I just picked up 3 pounds of Halibut, 4 pounds of flounder and 200 Rhode Island littlenecks. Also Got some chicken in garlic cranberry rub and some smoked wild turkey on the menu...Fresh picked asparagus and who knows what else!
Not sure who invited the black flies, but they are brutal!!
Have a great holiday weekend and please remember our war hero’s!!!

Dots,
I have those charcoal baskets that came with mine. I have never used them. Not sure I ever will.
I love mine.
I have only 1 complaint...well actually 2...
The ash pan is a pain in the ASH to get off and back on and the bolts that go through for the lid holder make the grate tricky to get back on when the charcoal is searing your hair off you hands and arms..
Other than that you can’t beat those grills...and I can overlook the misses to have a durable charcoal cooking machine. I use mine 4-5 times a week and sometimes 7 days a week.

Might be a possible location for our get together. Our group usually fills the cabin, but plenty of area for tents, campers, or whatever you approved method of sleeping is!!

I looked long and hard at that as well, but the 200 dollar price jump I just couldn't justify ....
