Looks delicious,  my friends at Novelious appreciate my limited foil usage. My porch is under attack from carpenter bees. Any advice?
Same here!! They don’t sting unless provoked, but it seems they are the ones looking for a fight. They do pollinate so I hate to kill them, but they are super annoying.

If you're handy with wood,  YouTube carpenter bee traps. Or depending where you're located I can make you some.  I'm in North Tonawanda

I built a couple traps last year. They work! But that's not a cure. Had  21 in the trap yesterday. I spoke with the landlord a couple days ago and they're going to pull all the gutters and soffits, replace the damaged facia,  install metal soffit and cap the new facia with metal.

These bees are undeterred by any kind of sprays as far as I know unless you're able to spray directly into an already bored nest hole......which you don't want to begin with.

I would say multiple traps and plug any holes they manage to create.

They buzz around close to the ground when my Bride and I are sitting outdoors. I take great pleasure in swatting them with my old Squash raquette. I still have a fair backhand!

I had an issue with carpenter bees , I bought  a powder and squirted it in the Holes , seem to do the job then plugged the holes in my cedar facia
Bumbles have never been a problem , my lilacs are full of them , I get wasps and yellow jackets 😡

My son has them swarming at his house. He made traps and put them out, the traps work he catches most of them, but they still come back every year. It seems like there are more than previous year. Can't understand why he gets more when most were killed off, must be they breed before he catches them.

Actually, diatomaceous earth  will work to keep them from using existing holes but, you still have to fill them. They're persistent little buggers.

I have a bee house for my garden bees. There's 5 or 6 different species that nest there. They're solitary bees, don't sting and do a great job pollinating the garden and flowers.

The carpenter bees pay no attention to the house at all.
