Wabash River report
« on: Jun 22, 2023, 07:13 AM »
From all that I'm hearing and seeing a trip by canoe or kayak could yield some good times. Crappie appear to have finally made an appearance. Better late than never. Around snags and slack areas. Sauger and walleye, more sauger than walleye. Smallie fishing has also been good. Bait of choice seems to be small cranks but a jig and twister or a spinner will also produce. River is down and clear. Ideal for a float. White rock White recreation in Wabash can set you up with a canoe or kayak and take care of the drop off and pick up location or just check out google maps for locations. Good luck and enjoy. PS River defenders will hold their annual clean out the banks on the 29th of July if anyone is interested. Pm me for more info or go to web site.
