FISH TRAP /LaPorte
« on: Jul 11, 2023, 09:02 PM »
My son just bought a membership there and according to the guys he has spoken with, there is plenty of quality fish there. Guess the P.N.A. owns access to this spot. With access you can launch. Going to give it a try maybe next weekend. Anyone got anything???

Whole lotta lily pads. I drive by it to and from work. I've fished it twice, both times being bout 15 years ago tho. Don't remember what we got in the boat, just remember it was really slow. The other time I ice fished it and only got 4 or 5 crappie but the quality was really good. I see several ice fisherman there in winter on my way to work but rarely boats in softwater

Thanks, jig head, Son said a lot of pads with three holes with no weed cover. 30 feet deep. He got 10 gills yesterday in 1 1/2 hours. All keepers, said nice crappie there, but didn't fish for them. Might give it a go next week if I can't get on big lake.
