« on: Mar 16, 2024, 03:50 PM »
So headed up to visit in laws for a few days and they said ice is out darn weird season.  I cannot seem to find any s-codes on place does that mean can open water fish before April 1.  Sure hope so otherwise gonna be a long couple of days.

My take is that this is regulated as a South Zone pond, so it's open for open water fishing now.  With that said, it's not far from the North Zone/South Zone split.  Might be worth a call to a warden. That would  put to rest any worry about your few long days, but also avoid you writing any checks with a few expensive  numbers ;)

Definitely don't want to jeopardize my license I'll give fish and game a call to clarify thank you for answering.  No perch or crappy is worth losing out on chasing brook trout next month

I'm glad you asked and got good news!  I don't have"Esquire" after my name, so I'm happy you double checked.  Happy fishing 8)
