I drive alot for work and always have a rod in the truck, is there any type of pier or shore fishing areas on the northend of Seneca that I could hit when I pass through during the week?
-
I think Samson State Park and the public launch that is off Rt's 5&20. I really have no idea how good the fishing is there.

there is a pier there by the Ramada inn, have heard it is good... is that true anyone?

Scott, The entire North East corner of Seneca lake is a park....Seneca Lake State Park.
There are docks to fish from but only in the back waters fed by the Seneca River.
The Marina at Sampson State park is on the East side about 15 miles down the lake. There is a break wall to open water and marina.
Both parks can be fished till the resident boats start moving in for the summer.

I was there last week end. I caught a 30" brown and 2 pike just over 30". Nice fish but pretty slow.

How is the perch fishing off the wall there?
-
Very spotty Pete,
A west wind is good as it stirs up the gin clear water...still hit and miss.
