Staying a long weekend on Long Pond in Parsonsfield soon and noticed the IFW survey shows it's been stocked with browns in the past. But when I look at stocking reports going a few years back, I don't see it listed. I'm wondering if it's because public access has been lost in recent years? Any chance of holdovers or reasonably decent bass fishing?

Hey, Steve. It appears to have received fall stockings only in the past. If that pattern is followed, it should be in line to be stocked this fall.

Thanks Jim! Didn't think to check the fall stocking list. Makes sense though.

I have never fished it but I have heard there is some good sized Browns in there.

Thanks wayniac. Definitely bringing a rod or two as we have water access. Was thinking about hauling up my boat for some trolling (lead core), but not sure about the boat launch. I think the place we're staying has a canoe so maybe I'll just take that out.
