What are your goals for this fishing season.
« on: Apr 11, 2010, 08:00 PM »
Was wondering what are your goals for this fishing season if any. any new baits or techniques you want to learn... a particular body of water... species of fish..... trip you would like to plan. What do you hope to accomplish this fishing season?

Limit of crappies.

I plan to fish with a bunch of friends this year, as many as possible. Going to Stellwagen bank in May to fish haddock & cod and in June I have a good friend from Colorado coming in to stay with us a few days to fish Oneida. I'm mostly looking forward to time spent with some of the good folks I've got in my life. I also want to do a few shore lunches. Gonna be a GREAT season!

My goal for this season is just to have fun. Mission accomplished. ;D
With 2 kids the goals I have set are more for them than me.
By the end of the open water season I want them both tying there OWN darn hooks on.
The shoes can wait Mrs. Silvestri. ;D

That is a very difficult question.

I never set any goals but it seems like every season I surpass some sort of accomplishment of the past, and I never know what it is going to be.  Fish size, fish species, numbers, techniques, places, etc.    But I am really looking forward to what it will be this year   8)

My goals would be to fish as many open tourneys as I can with my dad, I want to surpass the amount of winnings i had last year in my club, and to go fishing with all my friends and family in New York.

Big delay between ice fishing and walleye season this year, so learning about center pinning for steelies, developing shot patterns, bead color patterns, and line strengths and diameters for pinning..  Once the walleye move off shore want to put more time in jigging deep walleye (25-40 fow) with bucktails and sonars, figure out time of day, seasonal shifts, and color patterns.. also need to put a little more time in dropshotting smallies too..

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
