I’m embarrassed to say I was out last Thursday. 1 7” perch and no eyes. Then the dam key broke off in the ignition. It was bent up but thick headed me used it anyways. Real lucky to turn the engine in with the stub of the key.  Big PIA to get it out.

It was better. I went to a fingerlake and put a hurting on some perch.
here’s the mess I had to deal with. Just to get clear access to work on the key.

Been slow for us on the east end, lots of marks not much action though. Starting to see some Mayflies, hopefully the bite starts to pick up.

Make sure it's a calm day a choppy water will definitely strain a knee

Awesome album regulator !

One of my all time favorites. Seen them in 2017 at Barclay Center Arena in Brooklyn on the Book Of Souls tour, and 2019 at Key Bank Arena in Buffalo on the Legacy Of The Beast Tour. Been a lifelong fan since around 1980. Unimaginable how those guy's still rock it out!!

Pequod1     I also broke a key off when my boat was knew because my swivel seat came in contact with the gear shift when I spun around.  I didn't know what to do so I went straight back to the launch before shutting it off. I ended up moving the key into the dash board. It wasn't easy but I got it done one wire at a time.

I have seen many mature shad dead below the Caughdenoy  Dam on the Oneida River, and on the Oswego River below Phoenix and Fulton. Not 100s but more than I would usually see this late in the season. I usually see a few mature dead shad just after ice out.

I am not concerned about the die off on Oneida because there were 1000s of mature shad spanning below the C'noy dam in May. I am sure some of the fry will make it upstream into Oneida sometime this summer or in the fall.
