hit few perch and eyes on swim jigs yesterday 14-15'. Surface temp 43 so getting closer to hard water. Hit the winterization button on the motor but was on water til week before Christmas last year so I bet I'll have to hit it again a few times I hope.

That water temp has dropped a lot in 2 weeks. Hoping to get back out after I hopefully put another deer in the freezer.

Got out for a short outing yesterday  , kept 2 , dumped my third one , I would have released the bigger 1 but she was bleeding badly 😡

Water level is headed in the same direction as last season , but I’m hoping it’s not going to be drained to last years level

A buddy of mine said he read from i think some cornell fishires facebook or something they netted the oldest walleye they have ever gotten from oneida 22 yrs old 19 1/2 in male ....kinda cool thought it would be larger but after reading up males dont reach nearly the size of females and growth slows alot sooner to the point almost no more growth after certain age

There would have had to have been something wrong with that fish IMO to be that small and that old, if true ..... I've caught bigger male walleye than that that were no where near that age I'm pretty sure  ..... a friend of my buddy's caught a male 30+ inches last winter.  Maybe just bad genes in that fish ?
