Garmin Striker Units
« on: Apr 22, 2018, 02:12 PM »
I have a Garmin Striker 4CV, bought for a portable unit to take on fly in trips.  I am getting an error that the transducer cable is shorted.  Haven't been able to find any short yet.  To purchase a new transducer is basically the price of a new unit.  Went with the garmin cause it had the flasher option as well.  I was going to pick up a humminbird to mount on my own boat, but am now wondering, if I buy another Striker unit - will most likely be a 7CV plus, can I link the 2 unit together off of one transducer.  Use the smaller unit at the front of the boat?  the cable comes with 2 extra wires in it (Send and receive according to garmin's website but cant seem to find the answer to my question there)  Basically wondering if this is just for waypoints or will all the info from the transducer be transferred as well?  Thanks in advance guys.
It's easier to beg forgiveness that to get permission
