Not mine but it was caught last winter ice fishing .... allegedly 17+ lbs and a male ..... might have been a new record if a female .....

Sure looks like a female to me. Not fully ripe but still a female.

I can only report was was told to me ..... it was caught in a small lake with a lot of bait fish - big fish either way.  The guys fishes a lot - I'm sure he knows the difference - it was caught in late Feb ......
