Way to go fishogger!! I really miss being out in November! . Being cautious after my by-pass surgery, I winterized my boat a couple weeks ago. Amazing how many times like you, only boat on the lake! Tight lines!

Yes sir!! The good Lord willing, I'm planning on chasing those long beards and gills this spring! Now all we need is some hard water in a few of weeks to pass the time!!

I was going to hit a few lakes recently other than the one I hit a week ago but although i can keep warm my hands get cold easily even with gloves.  I guess I'll chalk it up to old age.

The lake I hit usually has big bluegills moving in to a shallow basin area but they just weren't there that day. Or there were pike crusing through which this lake is known for. I've seen that before where the bluegill bite shuts down when there is a pike cruising through under the ice (I've seen them cruising through looking down under the ice).

you got that rite.  when crappie fishing at night and the bite stops you know there is a pike under ya.  someone getting ready to get bit off. lol  i been night fishing since i could hold a rod.  i never understood why fishing mags said pike dont bite at night. :D

im waiting for dec 4th teach.  i never did go after my fall bird yet.  hopefully i get to then.  thats another thing i always read in mags.  "how hard turkey are to hunt", not.  i have had them 6ft away looking in my blind window.  they are just as stupid as tame ones.  deer are much more worthy prey.

good luck on the healing teach and you guys have a great turkey day tomorrow.
