The nights I've been out when it was 50 and no wind I hear them. I keep my house at 60° all winter. I guess warm to me is different than the old folks who live in Florida half the year. Lol
Use some squid, it will stay on the hook most of the night, but more importantly, put some glow beads on the hook, often you won't even need bait...
With the squid don't thaw more than one to cut up as you may find just one strip will last most of the night. Do not forget them in your car or boat or you will be very sorry...
