Personal Craft/ Boat License?

I hope you guys can help me out. I know a year or 2 back the Government started up the Boating License/Certificate and started to expand it to pretty much all motorized boats.

Now I'm a canoe guy, and this year I bought a trolling motor to add to it. Does this mean I have to go and get this license/certificate.?

Yes you have to get a lisence if motor attached. You can do it online though in the comforts of your own home.

i have a trolling motor too.. and was asking the same question to alot of mnr officers, and even they didnt know. It costs around   $ 50.00  Hmm.... i wonder if this is another way for the government to rip us off any way they possibly can!

Well your alright till 2009 if your canoe/boat is OVER 4 metres . If not you have to get one now .

Trapper is right its a SIze thing (once again) If the Boat err Canoe is under then you need a licence.
