Bowdish reservoir

Does anyone know when bowdish fills up? Never been I heard they drained it though thanks

They drain the lake every fall. As far as how long it takes to fill up, it all depends on how much rain/snow melt we get. Right now the lake is almost back to normal level, still down about a foot.

Thanks were camping at George Washington in a couple weeks.. I hear it gets weedy so my backup spot to fish prob be Wakefield pond or echo lake.. Any advice?

i have never fish bowdish but will be soon. i have had good luck on Wakefield and echo. echo lake is a great place to fish one of my favorites.

Bowdish does get pretty choked with weeds during the summer, but there is great fishing for bass and panfish in the lake. Echo is also a good place to fish for bass and perch, and it does not get as weedy as Bowdish. Be careful navegating Echo from a boat, as there are lots of boulders just beneath the surface that can cause serious damage. I have never fished Wakefield so I can't help you out there.  :tipup:

wakefield field is a little deeper then the other two. good pond for bass. i caught a 4 pounder icefishing this year.

Thanks  we camped at Wakefield pond last year ... Really nice place to fish. Never fished echo but I scouted it in January when it was low so I have an idea. Just caught my first 5 pounder last week but it was in massachusetts though so hopefully the rest of the year treats me well.  See everybody on the water soon enough

Just got back from the trip the biggest bass was only 2lb 12oz and a 2.12oz pickerel... Good trip besides Fridays rain and the fact it's filled with pickerel..  Where's everybody been goin I haven't seen many anglers outnyet this year
