I wasn’t going to post anything but I feel I should. At least to keep the “How Warm Is It” thread from blowing up.
My sister Mary got cancer back in the mid 80’s. A rare form of lymphoma. She was treated with massive doses of radiation and chemo. It destroyed the cancer but also her bone marrow. So she went thru a bone marrow transplant.
In the 90’s she contracted two different cancers. She beat those too.
Anyway, all of the radiation and chemo took its toll, damaging her lungs and her heart.
A year or so ago she went on oxygen.
This past New Years Eve she went into the ICU at Buffalo General and Friday morning, about 30 minutes after midnight, she passed. She was 61.
Mary was tough and loved life. She really had a heart of gold.
Over the years, I had her speak to a few friends that had cancer. She knew exactly what to say. These people all benefitted from her attitude and her love of life.
Everyone loved Mary.
The world was a better place because of Mary.
