Tupper Lake/ Little Wolf
« on: Mar 23, 2004, 08:40 AM »
I have friends that live on the shores of Little Wolf that I go and see a couple of times during the summer. Very beautiful area, love the scenary. Tupper is only a mile or so away. I've never fished either but hope to this year seeing as now I can bring my boat. I've never seen too many people fishing either body of water all the times I've been up there. Just wondering what the fishing is like up there and if you have any tips on location and species. :)

Thanks
Harold

Well, I've never fished either of these, but my family lives north of there in Colton NY.  I've been to Tupper and Little Wolf several times, and I always remember it as WINDY!  No reason not to fish, but the little beach on Little Wolf...everytime I have been there....it is always gusting off that lake.  Could be coincidence.  I just always remember it as the windiest place on earth.  Beautiful it is though.

Yeah, it is a nice little beach. My friends live right around the corner from there, in the cove.

what do you want to get, there are so many places to fish.it is a question what
you want.tupper lake-has pike,bullheads,smelt,trout,salmon,perch,
the bog river at the lower dam to the dam at lows lake is just so great, there are
brooks in here,  but i could not get pass the perch ther are open camps, about 3
mile paddle with fish all the way, then there is lows lake with a1/4 mile carry
it is a easy carry.lows lake is windy keep to the shore, at the far end 8,1/2 miles
you have trails to other lakes[about 1.6miles] with brooktrout what do you want
good luck

I was pretty much wondering if the pike, bass, and panfish were plentifull, and certain areas they might be more than others?
