Sunday's fishing report
« on: May 11, 2008, 08:21 PM »
Launched out of Alton and trolled out of the bay.Marked a few fish but nothing biting. The guy I was fishing with had to leave early so we headed out of the bay and towards Rattlesnake.Picked up one small Salmon the south end of Rattlesnake on the downrigger thirty feet down on a Top Gun purple with black dots.Got two hits on the smelt but they hit and left.Had one more decent hit on the smelt the fish had just started running with it when some clown in a Very Pretty pleasure boat decided that having a huge lake to boat in wasn't enough he had to show off that fancy paint job and come within 30 yards of us trolling.Soon as that fish got spooked that was it.It was about time to head in so we packed it up and headed home. The weather was nice maybe a bit to sunny for a good Salmon day but nice to be out there without gloves on  8)
