It doesn't even look like the same boat. Phenomenal job. Just wondering what it cost start to finish? Kuddos, It looks band new.

I figure roughly 250 max. to redo it. So I payed 550.00 for it with the motor. The rear seat was from when I bought it. I just cleaned it up. The other seat was given to me. The biggest expense was plywood. The carpet and glue was about 50.00. As soon as Im all done I will put up a tally sheet. Im still waiting for my decals. I know the boat is a Smokercraft, but I've always wanted a Lund. I was on my way to get one until I lost my job. So its now a dream. My wife convinced me to get some Lund decals for it. So I did, I painted the trailer and put some stripes on it. Still waiting for the unemployed Lund stickers!

Here it is... thought I was finished then I picked up a foot mounted TM. Hopefully get that mounted this weekend. But everything else is done. I've always wanted a Lund but after losing my job thats not a reality now. Hope you guys have like checking this out. I've had fun doing this boat that I started redoing my Four Winns!!!

Nice looking setup there.  I am wondering about the lateral strength of the sides now that the seats are out.  It would seem to me that they might have added some strength and support to the boat sides and maybe inhibit "twisting" of the hull.  Maybe not, maybe they were just that - seats.  Also those seats usually contain floatation, did you add floatation under the floor or elsewhere?  Just curious; I would, personally, not be concerned with floatation but some folks might.

When I cut the seats out I made braces that run from the brackets of the seat to the floor. You just cant see them because there hidden by the board that the rods are on. The other side there hidden by the bench with the cup holder.

That's a beauty, I'm still working and have very little money. Saw a 14' Smokercraft in the want ads for 800.00 with motor and trailer. Seeing what you did to this one I'm saving pennies. New boat fund is under way.
