Not much luck with a big brand motor. You would think you would be set for a long time with a new motor. This motor acted like it was starving for fuel. I took the carb. apart and it looked OK. Did this 4 times before calling Mercury, they said motor was still under warranty, Not what Tracker said where I brought it. Mercury sent me a diagram of carb. so I could possibly fix it myself. I found problem, One part installed in wrong spot in carb. Before this thing is running like it should, I am pulling and pulling on the rope when it catches or something and it flys back and makes a hole though the cover. Mercury said someone just the other day called with the handle putting a hole in the cover too. He told me he went all the to the top to help this guy, But no luck with a new cover. So there is two of us with holes in our new motors. Great Well at least it starts and runs, even if it don't look pretty.
