Squam fishing
« on: May 31, 2010, 08:50 AM »
Fished Squam on Saturday, best in the boat fish was this rainbow below caught by Forry, we caught another just like it and lost a long run line stripper in the same area.Total for the day was 12 rainbows 1 salmon and a bunch of green junk, i think they call them small mouth bass, what a pain in the arse they are! Depths were 22-26' or 4-5 colors of lead. That was the only depths that would produce fish, don't know where all the salmon were but had some good fights with the larger rainbows. Flashy copper lures 5-10' off the ball worked good later in the morning.

Nice rainbow . The smallmouth are all on the beds and are hitting almost all that is thrown at them.
