Did I read correctly that there will be a shore fishing division? 👀

Yeah it looks like it is an additional board. So you get your main ticket and then you can enter the shore fishing board for $10?

If you are confused about the catch and release method, come fish with me and I will demonstrate it for you. Occasionally some of the fish I catch fall into my cooler to be cleaned and eaten, but most I return so others have the opportunity to catch them. Remember it is all fun and games until someone loses a walleye.

It’s funny Oneida perch actively eat during the spawn but on skinny once the males start following females and they start dropping eggs you might as well leave. You can see hundreds and not get bit.

I think I was on oneida May 3 last year and along with my walleyes, I caught quite a few perch.  I think it takes them about a week to start actively feeding there - or at least I hope so for next weeks trip. As far as the fingerlakes go, probably better off waiting until mid May. They seem to start up again when the weeds start growing.
