JON BOATS

HI everyone i`m lookin for some advice on jon boats.They are not to popular arund here and no one I know has one.I would like to use it for  draging down to the river and for duck hunting (rowing only)Plus a little fishin.Are they as rough as I have been hearing? I want to put in the back of the truck.I`m lookin at an Alumacraft 14` 32" or 36" wide .Any suggestions would be really appreciated !!!

Go as wide as you can fit in your truck. Also go for as much gunwale hight as you can get (safety). The wider it is the more stable it is and you also displace more water so it will draft less water then a narrow boat that is the same lenght.

I agree with Bob.  High gunwalls are really important especially if you hunt with a "loose cannon" dog!
