Thanks to the weather gods for giving us somewhat of a break. A little rain, a little wind, but no big deal. Never thought I'd be out there in a T-shirt...
I guess I spent too much time with the jig looking for that one big fish. It produced only several shorties. I'd have had better numbers had I switched to bait much sooner. An enjoyable day nonetheless, including a heart stopping encounter with a big blue shark. The sucker grabbed what would have been my biggest haddock a mere eight or so feet from my rod tip. As we gasped at the sight, I hung on figuring I was gonna come tight to a big shark. He stripped that haddock off my hook and I never felt a thing.
