I own a 2005 Lund Fisherman 1700 with a 2006 Honda 75 4 stroke and a 2005 8 hp 4 stroke trolling motor.
I have been out trolling three times this year and on two different occasions an alarm is going off under the dash. When this happens, I have the mater power switch on, the ignition to the 75 is off, and the 8 is being used to troll. Both times this happened the 8 shut off but i was able to start it back up and the alarm did not sound again?
The 8 hp is electric start with full controls at the captains chair. The alarm sounds like it is coming from the ignition switch area.
I have the boat and motors serviced by a local reputable dealer. I checked the engine oil and it had plenty in it.
Just curious what others think the cause of the alarm might be?
