What date will we have ice out???

Just wondering. Ice fishing is almost done and I am starting to look forward to warm weather.

I would say prob. 3 weeks in maine and 2 weeks tops here in massachusetts.

im thinking a little longer since there is so much ice and snow .while its true the ice will deteriorat fast once it starts to go but its mid march and we still arent getting any weather above freezing. in fact we are still making ice. im guessing mid april..hey chad welcome to MFF

 Most definitely looking forward to ice out.... the dock and boat will be in the following day.  Im afraid though ice out will be at least the end of April or even into May where I am in Southern Piscataquis County. I know Moosehead will be in May...... Come on Spring!!!!!

west grand where i will be may 5th went out last year on the 6th. hope its a little earlier this year.

I did well at west grand last fall. Did't get a chance to ice fish it this year. I am going to get down as soon as I here the ice is out. Caught a few nice fish early last sprnig, after reading my notes from last year  I think I got a system, and can,t wait to try it out.

the touge usally run big and fat with smelts just after ice out in west grand. the fishing tends to very slow though.

Do you have a camp on Sebec? I have a camp on the eastern end in the Narrows. I've been fishing Sebec for quite a few years now. Can't seem to catch too many legal sized salmon, but I've taken some nice togue. Do most of my trolling down on the western side of the lake by Packard's Camps.

Long Lake off of Sebago still has quite a bit of ice on it....

Ice here in Ma is rotting out, Ill give it 2 more weeks till open water on the bigger lakes, Some smaller lakes have opened up already
