Hello everyone since things seem to be simmering down a little on the waters I thought I'd pop in and say hi and check out some of the posts. I've checked in a couple of times to see Lava still wetting his line all over the world and pounding some beastly Stripers...Jimmy great Bow this week that would make a heck of a BowBomb...Ethan nice new Yak and I see it's getting used and collecting fish scales from all over. Nice to see some Shanty folk getting out on the water and having success.
It has been the best Summer for landing some great catches this year and I would say the best in the last 5 years...the Bass still haven't stopped crushing the Mocasin Red Flake Power Worm and the jig of course.
I had a period of 4 weeks in a row where I landed a dozen Pike...1 MONSTER and Bill landing his first open water Pike of 8.9 lbs. Let's just say I made up for not getting mine on the ice last season
Just got back a couple weeks ago from Salmon River and it was incredible 4 of us brought home over 50 pounds of Coho, King, Steelhead on ice and I was sore for over 3 days. The first day every one of us had 30 hook ups and tripple on's at once bringing home 11 on the first day...second day we kept 5 to fill the cooler.
Ice has been creeping into my brain as of late and I can't wait to open the Shanty Cafe and see the flags flying....tight lines and "Good Times" CC
