NH Lead Ban goes to Vote on Wednesday
« on: Apr 30, 2013, 05:37 AM »
New Hampshire Committee to vote Wednesday, May 1

Legislators need to hear from anglers!

The New Hampshire State House Fish and Game and Marine Committee will be voting on bill SB 89, which would greatly expand the current ban lead in fishing tackle, especially jigs on Wednesday, May 1st.

New Hampshire legislators need to hear from their angler constituents about this lead ban. New Hampshire anglers generate almost $210 million annually in retail sales, with a $332 million impact on the state’s economy. Fishing tackle made from alternatives to lead can be much more expensive and do not perform as well.

Send a message OR call your Legislator!

If SB 89 passes, much of your tackle could become illegal and the cost of fishing in New Hampshire will be significantly greater.
