Rod repair
« on: Jul 14, 2013, 05:50 PM »
So here's the deal: I slammed my rod tip in a car door and it snapped. Only about 6 inches snapped off, but it still needs to get fixed. Any advice or information of where to go would help.
Thanks
Ben Sten

If it is a clean break u can buy a rod tip kit that generally has 3 different size eyes  ,if u look close u should be able to tell if it will fit . Or some tackle shops  may  be able to do it.

I know this is an old thread but I figured I would chime in. I Brought a St Croix salt water rod to Cotes fly shop in Leiscter last year and he replaced 4 of the ceramic guides on the tip portion of the rod for $15 and the workmanship actually looked better than the original.
