Ianwuzhere chasing after the Rainbows- pic heavy!
« on: Jun 03, 2014, 10:36 PM »
Well ive been out a few times chasing some trout around B.C. Have had some great days so far this spring, lotsa tight lines and fish along the way.. Bought a new Greys 5w fly rod setup which has been a treat, no more line attachments getting caught up in the guides with the factory welded loops.
After this past weekend i got one fly that i want to try to tie to perfection when i get spooled up as it worked well recently out performing some usual go toos. Its a red Carey Special with silver ribbing and olive hackle, it could be because some people say it imitates dragonfly nymphs and the fish were gorging on the one we kept for supper that nite..

Anyway heres a few fish porn pix  :)   :

Fishies everywherez (spawning on gravel beds)- fish sizes are approx. 16-20"range in this pic id guess:

After watchin these three swim to an island noticed the middle deer is a buck starting to grow some antlers:

Super clean water- this fish is 10+ feet down still:

Cleanest lake, great for sight fishing on sunny calm days:

Many loons, love camping and listening to them call at nite when the water is calm and camp fire crackling. Heres a nest:

Ive only hit up a few lakes on the hitlist.. Every year the list of lakes i want to explore and fish just grows and grows.. Only one break off so far this year- fly leader was a lil thin i think, but still on the search of the double digit rainbow on the fly.. Shes out there the big ol beautiful i girl i imagine her to be..

This one is the biggest in the net so far this year 28"= 7 pound range:

I hope everyone is getting out and experiencing some screamin reels and fun times  :)

Wow!  Great pictures and scenery.  Just where is this "Stress Free Zone" anyways?  ;D (just kidding because its wherever I have rod and reel in hand. . .) Keep the great pics coming!
One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.
The brook trout is the prom queen of the trout world, and a promiscuous prom queen at that!
