Beautiful PB Brown
« on: May 19, 2015, 06:44 AM »
Hey everyone this is my first post to fish finder. I am a member of ice shanty as cityslickericefisher and have posted a few times but I enjoy the stories and everyones knowledge so much its time I join MFF and add to the board. I try to get out and fish once a week and this weekend on Saturday when everyone was chasing derby fish I went out for my own trophy. I got into this one after only having one small rainbow to show for my first two trips this season I was not complaining about having to fight this one. I caught her 1 1/2 to 2 colors out on lead core, the tension on the line was so tight I could not get my swivel through my eyelet on the top of my road and I had to plus the rod in and release it with the fish fight on just my mono! when it was all said and done it was 20'' and 4lbs my PB for sure. It was a beautiful fish and the most exciting fresh water catch I have had.  Good luck to everyone hopefully I can keep catching and posting!![imghttp://][/img][/img]

One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.

Nice work man!
It’s not being Cocky if you can back it up.

When you’re good at something, you’ll tell everyone. When you’re great at something, they’ll tell you.

Looked at the top pic again.
That vintage rod and reel looks a little short on one end?
Can you fill us in on what's up with that?

That would be my secrete weapon. We call it the stump. Is an old rod my dad and granfather used. Its kinda square and maybe green fiberglass is very flexible and only about 5ft long, has a huge seat feel for the lead core too it's a gem. It hammers trout!
