Swimbait season off to an early start
« on: Mar 07, 2016, 07:58 PM »

Got out to my favorite local water hole tonight to start throwing some swimbaits. Landed this guy and it weighed in at a healthy 5.07lbs.
Nice to be throwing into open water so soon.

Ahh good deal! I may have to give one of those a try. I picked up some of those new Rapala Shadow Raps to try out too.

Not familiar with the Shadow rap but if you go Buzzjet, don't mess around with the Jr, get the big boy:-)

Those Buzzjets are not cheap... Look forward to fishing side by side against a Jitterbug and see if it is worth the extra 20 bucks!

Fishing is my vice. I have to waste money on it or it wouldn't be a vice:-) Plus the Buzzjet will catch better fish anyway. Bank on it!  :-) Well, maybe not but that's my story.

There are too many variables in this test to get a truly accurate picture.
How 'bout I let you borrow one sometime?

Very nice offer, but I see it now, I take a nice long cast and my bail pops over and your lure reaches the other side of Quabbin, without a line attached!

Haha i was going to say the same thing. Sounded like a recipe for a first cast break off.
