NYSEG. Budget billing went from $124 to $180.

Still in budget but stinks anyway.

Electric.
Yea, our water went from $86 to $128
They read meters every other month.
This was a read month.
Last month was the storm, so I’m quite sure they didn’t read the meter.
So this bill corrected for 3 “incorrectly” estimated months.
Water is way higher down here compared to back up there.
Electric is balance billed as yours.
Our electric bill has been $85.
Of course no gas bill.
The furnace (heat pump) is electric.

Yeh…it is what it is. They’ve got us by the faucet I guess.

Anyway the ham and mashed taters were delicious. Lights are still on and we’re warm….and there’s leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Yes...costs are up but me and wife have enough firewood cut and split this summer dry and covered up now ,enough for over 2 years and plenty more logs stacked up by barn for probably 2-3 more years after that! It's nice to have them right there! Instead of driving 30 miles to our property in pavilion to cut and haul , got great deal on 2 heavely loaded log trucks that were cutting right around corner from our house in Dansville, they were glad to give us a god deal to save on fuel driving them alot farther !

There is a chuck roast under all that crap.
One of my mom’s recipes.
Meat, can of mushroom soup, Worchester sauce, some garlic, can of mushrooms, a medium diced onion, and a bag of Lipton onion soup mix.  Makes the best gravy in the world.
Normally I’ll toss in taters and carrots too.  But today we will make some brown rice for a side and I’ll sauté up a nice zucchini I have in the fridge that’s getting old.

Just a BIT of garlic?

Ham, taters and spinach tonight. Pasta with Parmesan sauce,  chicken and broccoli last night.
Just a bit.😁

Home made garlic basil ribbon pasta for chicken cacciatore my way.

Pics in a bit. My good friend and neighbor will be here for dinner. I make dinner for him on Sunday because he made dinner for his long time friend, for many years, who passed last year. He deserves a payback in my book.

I’m happy to oblige and I get to cook Sunday dinner.

Win…win!

I've got some venison in the crockpot with some peppers and onions. Bunch of us going to hunt tomorrow afternoon , then bbq venison sandwiches and a few beers after the hunt. Hoping my buddies son can get his first deer.

Kinda belongs here -

I just emptied the chest freezer and got it all into the side by side.
Defrosting the chest freezer.
Also bought some new very cool metal baskets for the chest to keep things sorted.

Steak (a hot dog for my Bride) and roasted red potatoes on the Weber. Last of the trough planter spinach (I think) for a side.
