Kraut
« on: May 10, 2021, 06:28 PM »
Bagged up the sauerkraut for the freezer tonight.  Got 7 decent bags and it came out really good.  Had it fermenting since early March in the basement.  It takes longer in cooler temps to fully ferment but itís far better tasting.  I officially dubbed Donna the ďKraut QueenĒ.

None

She initially wrote coleslaw and remembered it was sauerkraut.
We canned sweet slaw 2 months back.

Smaller batches can be made in a gallon jar. I have 1/2 gallon Mason jars that work perfectly.
