There was still a lot of white meat left in it…. Just had to cut it out…

Holy puff ball Batman. That’s a big one.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I went mushrooming with a buddy this evening,

We found a few boletes and a bowling ball-sized puffball.

I cooked them both and sampled some of the puffball (for the first time) and found it had a surprisingly delicate flavor.

Had a friend share half of a huge puffball with the wife and I. We cut 1 1/2" slices and used it for a base for personal pan pizzas. Had some homemade sauce from our tomatoes, along with venison meatballs. Added on some finely sliced onion, banana peppers, mozzarella and parm. Was outstanding!

Got a nice one in my yard. Darn thing came up right where I had sprayed roundup a couple days earlier. Probably won't kill me but I'm passing and hoping for a legion of spores for next year.
