Mac Attack:
Wow!
Things are moving quickly.

As some of you know, we have sold the lake place on Erie.
We have a sizeable deposit, and the buyer should have the rest in the next couple weeks.
We have moved 99.5% of our belongings from out there home.
We are going out there tomorrow to inspect the place and clean things up a little for the new owners.

My son Jeff is buying the house, and we have a tentative closing date of 4/27/22

I just returned from buying a 12' enclosed trailer that we will use to move out things to Florida.
Not sure if one trip will do it, but we will see how good Donna is at throwing crap out.   ;)

We leave a week from next Wednesday for Florida.
We are taking the motorhome down for a short 2.5 week vacation.
We will be towing Donna's SUV behind it.
We will leave the motorhome down there and drive back in her SUV.

The plan then is to start going thru 43 years of accumulation and decide what goes with, what stays with Jeff or the other 2 kids, and what gets tossed.
With the trailer here, we can slowly start filling it with things that need to go.
If it fills before the end of October, we have to make a decision.
Make a trip down and offload, or trim the load.
We will see.

And then there is the boat...........
I will drag that out of storage and get it ready to sell after we get back from Florida.
Jeff wants to fish a few times before we sell.
We'll see.
It will sell quickly I am sure.

Tick Tock

Won’t be long. Can’t recommend it more. Conquer life’s requirements and move on to doing what you want.

Spent the day with an individual who had his career in software design. He was bartering time for firewood as we cut up a downed ash tree. His take was, he’d had enough of the stress and corporate life. He’ll be part of the crew in a few weeks and seems very excited. A really nice guy. We’ll be glad to have him around…….if he can mow….

Just don’t forget how important it is to have work to do and people to socialize with. Those are the essence of life. Those who go into reclusion don’t last very long.

Mac    Good luck with the Move/downsizing, That has to be the worlds worst Job.  I retired and am still moving, and down sizing. seems to never end.  Bought a small farm in Tennessee, and amazed at how close places like Florida are, having spent so much time in Colorado, and West.

iceman260:
Mac congrats on retiring good luck with your move. Hope to see pics of fish from florida.
